Fit Kids
Fit Kids is a fun, openly structured recreation program for children ages 5-12 years. Daily activities call attention to important social and intellectual skills to promote individual growth.  Some of the activities that we participate in include: volunteering, health lessons, kid fitness classes, swimming, swimming lessons, field trips, picnics, crafts, cooperative games and much more! During both our school and summer programs, the Fit Kids instructors take time to tutor each student as well as help them with homework or reading. This is a great resource for parents and students, who have busy schedules and extracurricular activities to attend outside of Fit Kids. Also, with the partnership of Community Education and LCWM Schools, many Fit Kids are able to attend dance, basketball camp, volleyball camp, art classes and the LCWM after school program due to the ease of transportation. Often times Fit Kids instructors are able to walk Fit Kids to and from their activities on a daily basis. 

Fit Kids is a great way to keep kids active as well as knowledgeable on healthy activities! To find examples of both our summer and school year daily schedules please refer below.

3:00-3:15 Gym/Outside-cooperative game 
3:15-3:30  Snack
3:30-4:00  Homework & Reading Time
4:00-5:00  Gym/Outside- cooperative games & free time 
5:00-6:00 Kids Choice- craft, board games, computer time, health lessons

Late Starts 
Second Monday of every month from 7:00am-10:15am. Dates may vary depending on school schedule.

These dates may vary but, this service is for those week days when children do not have school from 7:00am-6:00pm. Major holidays are an exception and please remember dates are at the discretion of the Fit Kids Manager.

Stations in room- crafts, coloring, toys that develop motor skills, board games etc.

Quiet Time-reading, resting, coloring or puzzles only
Swim/Library Events/Movie/Water Day activities

Reading/Math/Health Time/ Computer Time- Games or activities that involve reading, math, health education, or educational computer games.

Fit Kid’s Choice 

1 week is taken off at the end of summer, to prepare for next school year’s program. This one week break for the 2015 program is August 31st-September 9th.

*If school closes on any unscheduled dates due to weather or any other emergency, FIT KIDS will close too.
