Swim Lessons
Tots Level A:
The goals include: entering and exiting the water in a safe manner, feeling comfortable, submerging to different points on the face, exploring buoyancy, changing position in the water and playing safe.
Tots Level B:
The goals include: entering and exiting safely, submerging in a rhythmic pattern, gliding on the front and back with assistance, perform combined strokes with assistance and changing body positions.
Preschool Level A: AGES 2 AND 3 YEAR OLDS
The most elementary skills are taught with children starting to develop good attitudes and safe practices around the water. (Please keep in mind that maturity level will be the deciding factor for your child at the preschool level)
Preschool Level B and C: AGES 4 AND 5 YEAR OLDS
The objectives of this level are to build on the basic aquatic skills learned in Level 1 and to give children further success with fundamental aquatic skills performed to a slightly more advanced degree then at Preschool Level A. This level marks the beginning of independent locomotion skills.

TOTS: Ages 6 mo. to 3yr will be together in the fall
Preschool:
Evening Session 1 will be focused towards ages 2 & 3
Evening Session 2 will be focused towards ages 4 & 5
Saturday mornings will be all ages together.
LEVEL ONE (ages 6 and up): You will learn basic personal water safety information and skills, to help participants feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely.
LEVEL TWO: Works on further development of simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back. For successful completion all skills are performed without assistance.
LEVEL 3: The objective is to build on previously learned skills by providing additional guided practice. Some of the skills include: front crawl with rotary breathing, dolphin kick, elementary backstroke, scissors kick, deep water skills and timed floats on front and back.
LEVEL 4: The objective is to develop participants’ confidence in the strokes learned thus far and to improve other aquatic skills. Participant will review familiar skills and introduce all other strokes which are; front crawl, breast stroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke, back crawl and side stroke.
LEVEL 5: The objectives of this level are coordination and refinement of strokes. Everything from level 4 is included increasing the distance requiring endurance and adding more deep water skills and flip turns.
LEVEL 6: The objective is to refine strokes so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. Additional activities from personal water safety and fitness swimmer is introduced. All strokes, all turns, timed floats, retrieving a brick and swimming with a brick.
During the School year lessons are offered on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings and also on Saturday mornings. Level times and sessions may vary. If instructor availability is high and the demand is also high additional classes may be advertised throughout the season. Each session consists of 8 lessons between the 30 to 40 minute times.
Members: $20 per child per session
Non-Member: $35 per child per session

During the school year private lessons are arranged initially through the Aquatics Manager. The aquatics Manager will then find an instructor with the same availability as the family and schedule the dates and times. One session includes four 45 minute lessons. They can be done with siblings and/or friends if the swimming level is similar.
